Oh Hey, It's BT Livermore

BT Livermore (they/them) has been sign painting professionally since around 2011. While pursuing a BFA in Illustration from Portland, Oregon's Pacific Northwest College of Art, BT started dabbling in hand lettering to incorporate into their spot illustration work for newspapers and magazines. By the time graduation rolled around in 2010, a love of letterforms had eclipsed their interest in the drawing aspects of illustration work; so BT picked up a brush and some paint, and began practicing the dark arts of sign painting.

After five years of painting in Oregon, BT packed up and headed to Butte, Montana in 2016, where they have lived and worked ever since. The multitude of ghost signs and previous centuries' architecture in Butte's historic, Uptown District inspires BT on a daily basis. Many of Butte's buildings have lost their lustre over the last 100 years, but BT would love to help you restore the look and feel of your historic building or home, using the traditional techniques that would have been standard when it was built.
